Psychology Forum Pact

This website strives to provide a community of the highest quality and integrity. We encourage open, honest and respectful communication between all of our club members. The guidelines regarding club member use are based upon these basic values:

            1. We believe everyone has something to contribute
            2. We believe that an open, honest and respectful environment can generate stimulating
discussion and valuable contributions from all of our members
            3. A healthy community has room for and encourages participation from everyone,
regardless of their age, background, or level of expertise

We do not and cannot review all content posted by viewers on the Web site, and we are not responsible for such content. However, we do reserve the right to delete or edit any reviews or other postings that are not, in our sole discretion, in the spirit of these basic values. We will monitor posting activity of anyone who violates the following guidelines and, if necessary,
restrict their ability to post reviews or messages on the site. Contributors may e-mail the administrator and apprise them of messages that may be offensive. Faculty and staff members will be contributing to the discussion(s) as well.

Everyone is expected to follow these basic “rules”:

1. No insults or personal attacks (e.g., "Dr. X is an unfair grader and a pig")
2. No profanity or obscene language (e.g., "Dr. X's class is $@&*$ hard")
3. Debate - yes! Arguments or "flame wars" - no!  Because of the nature of e-mail (anonymous, can’t see
the other person’s expressions, can’t hear the tone of voice, etc.), things can be misunderstood. Try to
clarify what is being said rather than just calling someone an idiot, etc. As a poster, make sure that you
use symbols (called emotikons) or abbreviations. Common emotikons include :) [smile], :( [frown],
    ;) [wink].
4. Do not post solicitations to buy or sell products

Common Acronyms:
