Experimental Psychology (PSYC

An introduction to scientific/experimental research methods used in the
study of
behavior. Specifically, this course involves the study of the scientific
method and its use
in psychological research.
Prerequisite: PSYC 3500 with a grade of "C" or better. |
Social Psychology (PSYC
3710)
Social psychology is "the scientific study of how our thoughts, feelings,
and behaviors are
influenced by the actual, imagined, or implied presence of others." The
definition of social
psychology was eloquently stated by Allport (1968).

Principles, techniques,
and theory underlying construction and use of tests for
educational and psychological
measurement.

course covers the integration of classic and contemporary
theories, research, and
application relating groups, organizations, culture, and society to
individual behavior.

This graduate level course applies social psychological principles and
theories to the
study of schools as dynamic social organizations. Some of the topics covered
are
aggression, group processes, attributions, attitude, and attitude change.
