The paper was a valuable part of this class as well as the homework assignments.

Due to the short amount of time in the summer semester, Dr. Whatley kept the class as laid back as possible. however, we learned a whole lot of information through extra assignments, creating a scale and reporting the results in an APA paper. i really enjoyed this course.

Everything was fine.
The most vauable aspect was lerning how to create a scale and doing the experiment to se if the scale actually worked.
The class was great.
The course was wonderful. Beings that the class was a summer course there was not much time to go over the text in class, however, the instructor was in the office to answer any questions and clear up any confusions so that made up for the lack of time in class. Great Course!!

Everything! Dr. Whatley did an outstanding job focusing on the issues that were relevant to test and measurements. Also developing a scale as a class and writing a paper on it was very valuable.

Make Dr. Whatley teach this course during the fall and spring!!!
Dr. Whatley is definitely an expert in the field, so we were being taught by a well qualified instructor.  The homework assignments were helpful in gaining better understanding of the material.  The class project helped to really drive home some of the concepts.
'None, every class was constructive and useful in accomplishing the department's goals.
This instructor could focus on teaching students, rather than on treating them as though they are 2nd semester grad students.  Again, he is arrogant and the one time I  went to him to ask him a question, he seemed more concerned with proving me wrong than with teaching me why I got the question wrong. Wow, I am sorry you feel that way. I would rather you have the correct information than go around with the wrong information. If that makes me arrogant in your book, then that's the price I will gladly pay.
The website was especially valuable for this course. In addition to Dr. Whatley's tests and measurements webpage, his experimental webpage was also very helpful. The websites contain valuable samples, reference guides, and practice quizzes. Homework assignments given were helpful in learning how to apply the course material. Many students like to grumble about papers, but I feel that the paper in this course was a valuable tool in applying the material.
The class lectures served to confuse me more than anything. This instructor seems to be more concerned at times with impressing students with his knowledge than with teaching them.  i.e., he is usually very short in answering questions, and sometimes just seems too arrogant to approach.
The workload was heavy for the summer semester, but I think Dr. Whatley compensated for that adequately by cutting back on the chapters covered and allowing class time to obtain participants for the test development questionnaires.
Dr. Whatley's website was extremely helpful, not only in  preparing for this class, but as well as for others. I will definitely resort back to his website for future reference. He was also available and more than willing to answer questions I had about the class, in addition to questions regarding graduate school. I also enjoyed doing the research paper, because it allowed me to gain a better understanding of the subject as oppossed to just reading the text.
None. All assignments were valuable to the course.
Dr. Whatley is a wonderful teacher and although students perceive him to be a very demanding of his students(which he is),in the long run, he adaquately prepares his students to do well in graduate school.
Learning how to use SPSS in the development of a scale was useful.
