The independent research required for projects and the very applicable video footage.

I think VSU could do a great service to all students by making this course a required class. I know that I could have saved myself a lot of heartache and emotional pain if I had taken this course my freshman or sophomore year. The subject matter is applicable to all individuals regardless of major--it is helpful for individual relationships and recognizing manipulative techniques which are used by others to persuade you to do something you don't want to do. I am very serious about this--if I had taken this course years ago it would have kept me from getting into an abusive relationship which I am still battling my way out of. I see now the manipulative techniques that were used to keep me there and to get me there in the first place--a little prior knowledge would have helped me to recognize the deception before it was too late. VSU has a duty to the people it is being paid to educate to teach them how to protect themselves from psychological manipulation.
Doing the group presentations and watching video clips to go along with what we were learning in class.
Nothing, everything was fine.
I would say maybe having more tests to or more outside work assignments to offer students a chance to have more grades than just three tests, one paper, and one group presentation.
The group project and the paper were very valuable because they made you think outside of the textbook. Also, the website ot the class is valuable because it allows studnets to see their grades in a more timely manner. I also enjoyed watching the video clips because they illustrated the points well.

The use of videotapes to provide students with examples.

more interaction b/t student and teacher instead of just lecture and video
The use of video clips to help explain the concepts covered from the text were an excellent addition to lecture.
