Introduction to Plants Learning about plants and seeds is fun and exciting. Plants are all around us. Plants come in many sizes and shapes. Some are tall like oak trees and others are small like flowers. Even though plants look different they all have the same needs. Let's find out what plants need to live and grow.

Scenario Mission #1 You are going to get a chance to survey ten of your classmates. First, you will need to choose three kinds of flowers by visiting Kids Valley Garden. Next, you will choose ten classmates to survey. Each student will tell you which flower they like best. You will create a pictograph illustrating the results from your survey. Choose 3 flowers at Kids Valley Garden.

Math- Standard: Constructs and interprets simple bar graphs and pictographs using whole unit data.
Technology Integration- Standard: Uses basic research techniques, tools, and online resources.

Scenario Mission #2 Detective Le Plant needs your help solving the mystery of plant life. Go to #1 above and click on Kids Plant. Click on Case #1 "In Search of Green Life." Click on plant parts and read about each of the plant parts. Now you are ready to help Detective Le Plant find the missing parts of a plant.
