Down In The Deep Blue Sea!

Introduction to The Deep Blue Sea Fish, whales, dolphin and shells, these are all things that are found in the deep blue sea. On our adventure we will take a look at different types of animals that live in the ocean habitat. Come on along as we travel in the Deep Blue Sea.

	1. What is an ocean? Look up OCEAN in the OnLine Dictionary. This site will help you look up many different ocean animals.
	2. The largest animals in the world isn't the dinosaur. What is the largest animal animal. If you want to find out what the largest animal really is lets find out!
	3. Does sea turtles have teeth? Why are they Carnivores ? Can Sea Turtles breath underwater? You become the investigator and find out?
	4. Did you know that a dolphin is actually just a small toothed whale. Dolphins have really fat thick skin. Dive in with the Dolphins and find out more.

	6. Sharks are even older then dinosaurs. They're 350 species of sharks, don't be scared these want bite. Come on in and explore about the many different kinds of sharks.
	7. Do fish sleep? Find out if FISH do sleep and if so how go they sleep? You will be suprised to see that they are like humans in some ways.

	9. What makes up 98% of a Jelly Fishes body? These animals have a bite that stings. You should always look out for them while you swim in the ocean.
	10. How many arms does a StarFish usually have? What is other name for a starfish? Why do they look like a star? Use this encyclopedia to find out all these answers and more.

Scenario 1

You will need to get a clock for this activity. You will be doing a jigsaw puzzle, and timing yourself. Go to Jigsaw and wait for all the pieces to load. When all the pieces have loaded look at the clock and write down what time you start the puzzle. Work through the puzzle, when you're finished write down the time you finished. With the help of an adult or older brother or sister, subtract the two times to see how long it took you to complete the puzzle.

STEPS
1. Get a clock.
2. Click on Jigsaw
3. Wait for all of the pieces to load.
4. Write down the time you start the jigsaw.
5. Put the jigsaw together.
6. Write down the time you finished the jigsaw.
7. With adult help subtract the two times to see how long you took to complete the jigsaw.

We have been talking about many sea animals through out this web site. You are now an ocean animal expert. Go to the Picture Activity and print the sheet off of the computer. Although we have not talked bout each one of these animals, you should be able to do a great job on this worksheet. Label as much as the animals as you can. Use the word list at the bottom of the sheet. When you are finished you look up the ANSWERS.

Steps
1. Click Picture Activity and wait for the sheet to load.
2. Print the activity off of the computer.
3. Using the animal names at the bottom fill in the name of each animal.
4. When you finish click on the Answer webSite, and check your answers.
