| 1. Describe Activity | Pretend that you were sent back in time to look at your life since you have been born. What has made your life the way it is now? What are you thankful for? Refer to #8 above to create a "Thankful Tree". Create a tree trunk out of brown paper and add branches. Draw a tree trunk on the construction paper or make a tree trunk on another sheet and cut it out. Then cut out leaves to go on the branches. Think of things that you are thankful for and write it onto your leaf. Glue the leaves onto the tree branches. Above the tree write the words "I Am Thankful For...." |

"Thankful Trees"
During
Thanksgiving we should all stop eating the delicious foods for a second
and think about what we are truly thankful for.
Tyler
and Kimberly from Mrs. Sumner's third grade class at Sallas Mahone
Elementary School designed a thankful tree with the things they are thankful
for written on the leaves.
This was a really fun experience. The children loved doing the activity and playing wt. the Thanksgiving web sites on the internet. They especially liked taking the Thanksgiving quiz at least a million times. Although they didn't get to see all the web sites, they still enjoyed themselves and learned a few things.
